News Men Injured in Explosion at Peosta Home File Lawsuit Posted 26 January, 2012 The three men who were injured in an explosion while working on a concrete job in Peosta in August 2010 are suing the companies responsible for supplying and distributing the product they were using. The lawsuit, filed in Johnson County by Brad Mahoney of Dyersville, and Adam and Scott Conrad of Delhi, names Sherwin Williams, American Decorative Concrete Supply and Gierke-Robinson companies. According to the lawsuit, Distinctive Crete, who the men worked for, had only recently started using the product prior to the explosion after the companies said it was safe to use on basement floors. The three men allege that the companies should have foreseen their product would maim or kill workers if used in basements. Mahoney and the Conrad's are suing for negligence, product defect and breach of implied warranty. Story courtesy of KDST Radio.
