News Dubuque Man Arrested Following Altercation in Dyersville Posted 24 January, 2012 A Dubuque man was arrested on multiple charges following an altercation in Dyersville.  According to a press release, an officer was dispatched to a residence on 12th Avenue SE for a domestic assault early Sunday.  The suspect, 24-year-old Michael Blackburn of Dubuque, was arrested at the scene for public intoxication.  The complaint states that while at the police station, Blackburn threatened and harassed the officers before running out of the building.  He was located hiding under some stairs and was handcuffed by the two officers.  After they stood him up, Blackburn attempted to headbut one of the officers and tried to assault them while on the ground.  A Dubuque County Deputy arrived and took Blackburn to the sheriff's office.  Blackburn is charged with 1st Degree Harassment, Public Intoxication, Interference with Official Acts with Injury and Escape.
