Helping Services Presents Free Training on Child Abuse Messaging

Free training on child abuse messaging to be offered March 10th, at 6:00 pm, in the Decorah Public Library! Preventing the abuse of children is about extending and strengthening our relationships with neighbors. There are many different views, however, which take away from and even harm these relationships.

Your local Community Partnership for the Protection of Children (CPPC) group and Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Iowa will be offering a training that will illustrate different views that affect how the public thinks about child abuse and neglect, and how you can use this information to strengthen your community.

Amber Russell, the Iowa Child Abuse Prevention Program Manager, will lead the training, and time will be allowed at the end for your questions. Everyone has a role in preventing child abuse so don’t forget to call Karsten Snitker, AmeriCorps, Child Abuse Prevention, Helping Services for Northeast Iowa at 563-387-1720 to register by March 10th.
