Tribute Planned for Chuck Gipp Posted 22 July 2008 A tribute for retiring State Representative Chuck Gipp of Decorah has been planned for next month in Decorah   A dinner will be held in Gipp's honor on Saturday, Aug. 23, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Oaks Steakhouse. Tickets for the event are available by visiting www.winneshiekgop.com   Gipp announced his retirement earlier this year after serving 18 years in the state legislature. He recently was hired as the Director of Soil Conservation for the Iowa Department of Agriculture and will relocate to the Des Moines area.
