Aquila Proposes Rate Increase, Hearing Planned Posted 21 July 2008 A public hearing will be held Aug. 7 over the ICN Network in Decorah to discuss Aquila's recently announced proposal to increase natural gas rates. Area residents will have a chance to voice their opinions regarding the requested rate change. Aquila announced last month it would like to increase the cost of natural gas for the average customer about 10.3%. A public hearing will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, over the Iowa Communications Network. The ICN site at Decorah High School will be available for the public to participate in the hearing.
