Deadline Today to Apply for Local Flood Relief Program Posted 18 July 2008 Today, Friday, July 18, is the deadline for Winneshiek County residents to apply for assistance from the Winneshiek County 2008 Flood Relief Program. The program, a joint effort between the United Way of Winneshiek County, Northeast Iowa Community Action and the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce, raised more than $22,000 to help local residents with flood recovery. Application forms for assistance from the fund are available from banks within the county, city hall offices and the Decorah Chamber office. A committee will review the applications and award assistance on a case-by-case basis.
