FEMA Center to Close Saturday Posted 10 July 2008 The Disaster Recovery Center opened by FEMA will remain open through this Saturday, July 12. The center is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Decorah Middle School. To date, over 300 assistance applications have been filed. FEMA is expected to close the center following this week in order to head to other counties that have sustained damage. It is important that people, even those who suffered very limited water damage, should register with FEMA at 1-800-661-FEMA or on line. Claims for any damage discovered after the deadline for registration in Winneshiek County has passed will not be allowed.
