Winneshiek County Fair Starts Today Posted 8 July 2008 Today, Tuesday, July 8, is the first day of the 2008 Winneshiek County Fair. Today's schedule includes time for the set-up of exhibits and the arrival of livestock. There will be a skid loader rodeo in the Variety Tent near the Horse Arena at 12:30 p.m. In the Music Tent, Linda and Curt Gjere will perform at 2:00 p.m. The Dog Show will start at 8:30 a.m. in the Show Barn. Afternoon judging includes the Pet Show, the Poultry Show and the Rabbit Show--all in the Show Barn. A new Winneshiek County Fair Queen will be selected at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon in the Show Barn.
