Scovel
joins JJC Media as News Director
Posted 30 June 2008
Manchester resident Lori Scovel has joined JJC Media and the 24/7 News Network of websites
as the company’s News Director.
With a background in education, local media and marketing, Scovel is
directing the publication of local and regional news articles for all
11 of the websites which are uploaded daily to the news and community
directory network. She is also involved with web site creation for
clients, organizing and providing educational outreach opportunities
and promoting the 24/7 news network through a variety of activities.
“I am very excited to be able to continue to provide vitality to local
businesses and promote economic strength to communities in Northeast
Iowa through the 24/7 Network,” Scovel said. “The 24/7 sites are
designed for local residents to use as a source of information, but are
also valuable tools for newcomers and visitors, too.”
Scovel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience about news and
promotion in Northeast Iowa after being employed by Northeast Iowa
Community College for the past nine years. Before that, she was news
editor for the Manchester Press and also worked for Manchester’s KMCH
Radio. Scovel currently is a member of the Manchester Promotion Board
and the Iowa Association of Lifelong Learning.
“I am looking forward to being a part of Decorah247.com and the JJC
Media team, covering local news and events for residents of our
region,” said Scovel.
